Howard Rush Vickery

Howard Rush Vickery, 89, husband of the late Sara Ruth Willis Vickery, died Thursday, January 1, 2015.
A native of Gumlog, GA, he was the son of the late Jack Callaway "J.C." Vickery and Mae Haggart Vickery. He retired from J. P Stevens Cloth Mill as a mechanic. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Patricia "Pat" Alexander and Hilda Vickery and sisters: Gilberta Wilson and Ruth Brock.
Survivors include his children: Sara Teresa Vickery Barnett, Debbie Ruth Vickery, Sonya Geraldine "Dena" Vickery, Milton Edward "Eddie" Vickery, Howard JC "Peewee" Vickery; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel. Burial will follow at Vickery Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 at the funeral home on Sunday, January 4, 2015.
