Stephens - Howard Arthur Fowler, 61, husband of Linda Tallent Fowler, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Hart County, he was the son of the late Roger and Addie Cole Fowler. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Rob and Jerry Fowler and sisters: Trisha Fowler and Joyce Cleveland. He was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church and retired from Johnson Ford as a Automotive Technician.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Vicki Elsey of Colbert, Lynn Garcia of Crawford, Dwaine Fowler of Crawford, Jill Pena of Stephens, Rodney Fowler of Carlton, Wanda Mathews of Carlton; brothers: Thomas Fowler of Hartwell, Roy Fowler of Hartwell, Jack Fowler of Hartwell, David Fowler of Anderson, SC, Bill Fowler of Danielsville; sisters: Jean Moon of Hiawassee, GA, Diane Horton of Hartwell, Sue Smith of Anderson, SC, Pat Wooten of Elberton, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the American Heart Association, 1353 Jennings Mill Rd # A, Bogart, GA 30622 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
Lord & Stephens, Oglethorpe is in charge of arrangements.
