Horace Gibbs Mallory, 68, died Thursday, February 13, 2014.
A native of Madison, GA, he was the son of the late William Guy Mallory and Minnie Mason Mallory Kennedy. He was also preceded in death by his son: Travis Gibbs Mallory; brothers: Eddie Glenn Mallory, Richard Mallory, William Everett Mallory. He retired from Anaconda as a machine operator and loved working in his yard and fishing.
Survivors include his son: Tony Mallory of Athens; former wife: Carol G. Mallory; brothers: Dewey T. Mallory of Bishop, William Isaac Mallory of Bishop; sister: Dorothy M. Griffeth of High Shoals; grandchildren: Stephen Lee Heggood, Richard Travis Mallory and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1PM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Dewey T. Mallory officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the funeral home as well as at the residence of Carol Mallory.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
