Winterville,GA-Horace Oneal "Okie" Flanagan, 64, passed away June 7, 2008.
A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, GA, he was a son of the late Horace R. and Frances Miller Flanagan. He was employed for the last ten years with C. C. Dickson Heating and Air Conditioning. Mr. Flanagan was an avid University of Georgia football fan and was also a locally recognized softball player for many years.
Memorial services will Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST, with Rev. Larry Davison officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until service time.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda F. Flanagan; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Kevin Backer of Commerce, GA; granddaughter, Jessica Backer; sister, Elvena Smart of Bishop, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
