Horace Austin Bonsteel, 91, died August 3, 2013. A native of Oswego New York, lived in Florida for many years before retiring to Athens Georgia. He held the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines while serving in the South Pacific during World War II. He worked for several portland cement companies selling and managing contracts for major construction projects, before retiring to pursue his love of the great outdoors. His passion for hunting and fishing brought him to some of this country's most beautiful places. He died at home surrounded by his son, good friends, and Max, his dog of 16 years. He is survived by his son, Peter A Bonsteel of Cold Spring New York. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
