Horace K Arthur

Mr. Horace K. Arthur , 87 of Bishop, passed away August 18, 2011. Mr. Arthur was retired from Reliance Electric Company. He was recognized by the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and served our country in World War II. Mr. Arthur was a member of the Oconee River Boys and Fellowship Baptist Church. He had many achievements, the most special being a loving husband and father.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers, Teresa Williams, Melinda Mottley, Cindy Boyd, Jacob Boyd and Advantage Hospice.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Lord & Stephens Chapel, WEST with
Revs. Larry Davison and Wilburn Hill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Park .
Mr. Arthur is preceded in death by parents, Mr and Mrs. Harvey and Ester Arthur and brother, George Arthur (passed away March 15, 2011). Survivors include his wife, Trellie Ostell Arthur; children, Wanda Arthur, Beverly Barrett, Jeff (Judy) Arthur, Gary Arthur and Teresa (Bill) Byrd.; sisters, Hazel Hammond and Geneva Arthur; grandchildren, Kelly Poe, Ashley Griffin, Mollie Reeves, Haley Byrd, Amelia Arthur, Audrey Arthur and Rhianna Byrd and 10 great grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Advantage Hospice.
