Athens, Georgia - Homer Marvin Ross, 77, died July 27, 2010.
Born in Catawba, County NC, he was the son of the late Robert Marvin and Lena May Gilmer Ross. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was employed as property manager for C/V Enterprises. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Ross was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church, Gainesville GA
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Lord & Stephens Chapel WEST with Dr. Jerry Gill officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mark Maxey, Jack Carr, Barry Elder, Lloyd Gravitt, Harry Gurganus and Henry Lawson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Parrish Ross; step-children, Robert G. Parrish and wife Amy Parrish of Bishop and Donna Parrish Morris of Watkinsville; sisters, Betsy Hopkins of Anderson SC, and Marge Burgess of Greer SC; grandchildren, Hank Morris of Watkinsville, Lindsey Parrish and Brooks Parrish of Bishop.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
