Homer Lee Carter Sr

Hull, GA - Homer Lee Carter Sr. died Saturday May 18, 2013. A native of Madison County, Mr. Carter was the son of the late Brantley Allen and Ina Bell Morris Carter. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by a sister, Ina Mae Meadow and brothers Howell, Zeke, Oliver Brantley, and Brantley Allen Carter Jr. Mr. Carter was retired from UGA as a building inspector and was an Air Force Veteran.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 1:00pm at Brown Chapel, Danielsville. Rev. Barry Black will officiate. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Eleanor Faye Jones Carter; daughter; Janice (Ralph) Meissner; son; Homer Lee "Sonny" Carter Jr.; brother; H. Elmo (Blanche) Carter; grandchildren; Cortney Faye Carter, Carter Edward Meissner, and Allen David Meissner. great grandchild; Madison Faye Messer.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ted Vickery, Bob Ward, Roger Sudeth, Mitchell, Kenneth, and Jim Meadow.
Brown Chapel, Danielsville has charge of arrangements.
