Hollis Levone Deason

Hollis Levone Deason, 83, of Ila, GA passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Serenity at Jefferson, GA.
A native of Chilton County, Alabama, Mr. Deason was a son of the late Thomas J. and Alice Giles Deason. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dean Deason; daughter, Charlotte Huie-Miller; grandson, Andrew Lynn Huie; brother, James (Patricia) Deason of Hendersonville, TN.
He served as a gunner in the Artillery Division of the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was injured at the time his friend was killed in the same fox hole.
For the last 53 years, Mr. Deason raised cattle.
A family graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Snowdown, Alabama.
