Holley Parks Watkins Jr

Athens, GA - Holley P. Watkins, Jr., 70, died December 29, 2012.
Born in Richmond County, he was the son of the late Holley Parks Watkins, Sr. and Virginia Ree Smith and was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Holcomb Watkins. Mr. Watkins was retired from Southern Bell with over 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked with the UGA Athletic Association. Mr. Watkins was a former Jaycee and an avid golfer. He attended Colbert United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his step father, George B. Smith of Crawford; stepmother, Eunice Watkins of Augusta; children, Danny Escoe (Elaine) of Lexington, Buddy Escoe of Athens, Judy Nation (Buck) of Arnoldsville and Tami Escoe Arnold of Crawford; fiance, Linda Wickliffe; half brother, Bob Abbott; 2 half sisters, Debbie and Lydia Watkins; step siblings, George, Gary, Brenda and Gale; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Monday, December 31, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until service time.
