Hilda Garrett Boyd

Hilda Garrett Boyd, 92, of Bogart, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024.

Born in Statham to L.G. Garrett and Lucy Hendrix Garrett, Hilda was a lifelong resident of Oconee County and lifelong member of Bethabara Baptist Church. She was known for making a fantastic pecan brittle.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings and her three husbands: Floyce Hardigree, E.G. Wyatt, and Donnie Boyd.

Hilda is survived by her two daughters: Brenda Dupre (William) and Jennifer Allen (John); grandchildren: Elmer Stancil (Michele), Garrett Stancil, Sara Massey (Walt), Maggie Gad (Hesham), and John Allen III (Anna); great-grandchildren: Maddie Stancil, Forbes Stancil, Ella Kate Massey, Jones Massey, Noah Gad, Sophie Gad, Bodhi Gad, Millie Allen, and Banks Allen; beloved niece Donna Jackson; and many other stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the many friends and staff Hilda loved while living at Highland Hills and Arbor Terrace.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 16 at Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
