Watkinsville, GA - Herschel David Doster, 90, died June 22, 2010.
Born in Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late James Albert and Mattie Archer Doster. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers, 2 sisters and his first wife, Inez Cranford Doster.
Mr. Doster was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and for a number of years owned and operated Dosters Used Cars. He was a member and steward of Princeton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his children Bobby and Martha Doster and Glenn and Janet Doster, all of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Curtis L. Doster of Atlanta, James D. "Jimmy" Doster of Duluth and Corey N. Doster of Watkinsville; 4 great grandchildren and his wife, Gladys Doster.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Rev. Russell Repetske officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Curtis L. Doster, James D. "Jimmy" Doster, Corey N. Doster, Jim Cranford, Carlton Couch and Donald Doster.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
