Lexington - Herman Carl Bridges, 65, husband of Martha Woods Bridges, died March 5, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Madison county he was the son of the late Joel and Ola Fortson Bridges. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: James, Rufus, Hubert, C.B. and Billy Hugh Bridges. He retired from Johnson and Johnson (Chicopee Mills).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11AM at Pentecost Chapel with Revs. Tye Sorrow, James Woods and Butch Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughter: Vickie Bridges of Lexington, sister, Martha Daniels of Watkinsville and a special great nephew, Christopher Title.
Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
