Herbert "Danny" Daniel Kerns, Jr.

Herbert Daniel “Danny” Kerns, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

Danny was born on September 30, 1949 in Orlando, FL to the late Mildred Jacqueline Hodge Kerns and Herbert D. Kerns, Sr. He married Suzanne Richardson Kerns on December 5, 1980 in Pasadena, TX. He moved from Gary, TX to Hull, GA in 1994. He was of the Baptist faith, served in the United States Army, was a Mason, a carpenter and painter by trade and also served in law enforcement for 20 years with an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, his in-laws, one brother-in-law, and 2 grandchildren.

Danny is survived by his wife, Suzanne; brother Artie Kerns (Christy), brothers-in-law John Stanley, Pat Richardson (Rosemary), David Camp, and many nieces and nephews; children: Pam (Gary), Mary Ann, Bruce (Aleisha), Kim (Michael), and Shane (Penny); grandchildren: Corbyn, Sierra (Garret), Zack, Brooke, Amber, Michael, Daniel (Jennifer), Anthony (Jenn), Paige, Tori (Zack), Kayla (Evan), Slayton, Zack, Austin, and Brittany; 11 great-grandchildren; furry grandbabies; and many, many friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 29 at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Pat Richardson officiating.
