Herbert Henry Sims

Herbert "Herb" H. Sims, 82, died March 24, 2013.
A native of Manhattan, NY, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Marigold Ash Sims. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sims and stepson, Ricky Norris. Mr. Sims was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church of Athens and the Clarke County Tennis Club.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 27th at 3:30 at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST with Rev. Ray Austin officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Nunnally Sims; children, Charles Simon of Phoenix, AZ, Teresa Lynn Carpenter of Greensboro, NC; stepdaughter, Gail Norris Dukes of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Elijah (Rachel) Smith; and step-granddaughter, Emily G. Willoughby.
Pallbearers will be Lou Penn, Tom Tuggle, Art Schuff, Jeremy Smith, Eli Smith and Jim Kissane.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26th from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
