Athens - Herbert W. "Bill" Foster, III, 64, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Donny Whitehead and Rev. Mark Harper officiating. Entombment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Born in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Herbert W. Foster, Jr. and Mildred Stone Foster of Shaker Heights, OH. He retired from Rockwell Automation formerly known as Reliance Electric after 37 years. He was the Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 767.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Marie Strickland Foster of Athens, children, Laura Dellinger of Arnoldsville, Tina Foster of Crawford, brothers, Charles Stone Foster of Santa Monica, CA, David Stone Foster of Cleveland, Douglas Reynolds Foster of Albuquerque, NM and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 4 to 6 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Athens Clarke County Humane Society, 399 Beaverdam Road Ext., Athens, GA 30605.
