Athens - Henry Ernest Yarbrough, 87, died December 16, 2008.
A native and lifelong resident of Clarke County, he was a son of the late Maude Eidson and William Thomas Yarbrough. He was employed with L.M. Leathers for 53 years and was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 19, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Dover officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Yarbrough; brother and sisters-in-law, Jackson D. and Mildred Yarbrough of Winterville and Winifred Boswell of Athens; sister, Jenny Stevens Thaxton of Watkinsville; a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
