Winterville - Henry Williams, 75, died February 12, 2006.
A native of Hall County, GA, he was a son of the late Bonnie Mae Reidling and James Henry Williams, and the widower of Hazel Ann Williams. Mr. Williams lived in the Athens area until 1963 before moving to Merritt Island, FL, where he lived for over forty years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he was an aircraft mechanic from 1946 until 1950.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Don Leaptrott will officiate. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include two children, Theresa Bucklew of Winterville, GA and Gary W. Williams of Weirsdale, FL; four sisters, Louise Brown of Greensboro, GA, Sybil Lenderman of Athens, GA, Dale Glawson of Birmingham, AL and Janie Williams of Bogart; two brothers, Dean Williams of Houston, TX and Wayne Williams of Watkinsville, GA; six grandchildren, Amy Cone of Carlton, GA, Eric Messer of Winterville, GA, Marianne Strickland of Colbert, GA, Emilee Wilkinson of Cocoa, FL, Gary W. Williams, II of Cocoa, FL, and Jenifer Williams of Guntersville, AL; ten great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to East Athens Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
