Winterville - Henry Dean Spidle, age 69, of Winterville, Ga., formerly of Leeds, Alabama, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Leeds, Ala., on May 20, 1938 he was the son of the late John Henry and Dorothy Pledger Spidle and husband of Ann Harp Spidle of the home. He was a lithographer at U.S. Can Company and an U.S. Army Veteran.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, David and Tracey Spidle of Winterville; sister, Norma Patterson of Leeds, Ala.; grandchildren, Anna and Jacob Spidle; 10 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are 11 am Saturday, August 25, 2007 from the Athens Memory Gardens. The body is at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, where the family will receive friends from 6 til 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can by made to the American Cancer Society, 1060 Gaines School Rd., # B-2, Athens, GA
