Henry Talmadge Sorrow

Henry Talmadge Sorrow, born May 4, 1922, in Comer, Georgia to Thomas W. & Myrtle P. Sorrow, went to be with his heavenly father on August 6, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Grace Wood Sorrow, and a twin brother, Harold Sorrow. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sara Booth Sorrow; two daughters, Brenda (Glenn) Booth of Comer, and Linda (David) Brittain of Peachtree City; two grandsons, Buddy Brittain and Bill Brittain; two great-granddaughters, Gracie Brittain and Sophie Brittain; one sister-in-law, Ruth Sorrow; one niece and one nephew.
Mr. Sorrow was a long time member and deacon emeritus of Meadow Baptist Church. He retired from Westinghouse Electric and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was also a member of the Shannon Masonic Lodge in Comer.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Meadow Baptist Church with the Reverend Mike Sarna officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meadow Cemetery Fund or the Meadow Baptist Church Building Fund.
