Henry E. Shelnutt, III

Henry E. Shelnutt, III, 73, died February 1, 2024.

A memorial service will be held Saturday Feb 3, 1:00 pm at Grace Fellowship. There will be a celebration of life (visitation with family) following the service that should begin around 1:30 in the foyer at Grace Fellowship. There will not be a visitation prior to service.

Henry was born March 2, 1950 and a lifelong resident of Oconee County. Henry was a son of the late Henry E. Shelnutt, Jr. and Zillah Harper Shelnutt. He was also preceded in death by a brother. W.L. Shelnutt.

Survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Dixon Shelnutt; daughter, Dana ONeal; grandchildren, Anslee and Ethan ONeal.

Henry was a simple man and a jack-of-all trades. He loved deer hunting, woodworking and carpentry. He dearly loved and cherished his wife, daughter and grandchildren.   He enjoyed spending time with his family at the beach,  especially Amelia Island. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving stateside during the Vietnam War. He retired from Reliance Electric after forty years and spent twenty-five years with the Bogart/Oconee County Volunteer Fire Department.
