Winterville, GA - Henry Franklin LaCount, 73, died March 2, 2007.
A native of Oglethorpe County, GA, he was a son of the late Jeff and Mary Peterman LaCount. He was a lifelong resident of Oglethorpe County and retired October 27, 2006 from General Cable and Southwire Company after forty-seven years. Mr. LaCount was a member of Free Chapel Church, Gainesville, GA. He was a devoted brother and friend to all who knew him.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 5, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Pastors Mark Northcutt of First Assembly of God, College Station Road, and Morris Sapp of Crossroads Community Church will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include two sisters, Grace LaCount Young of Winterville, GA and Louise LaCount Sheridan of Winter Haven, FL; one brother, Thomas E. LaCount and wife Marie of Grovetown, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Retirees from General Cable and Southwire Company will serve as pallbearers.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice in memory of Mr. LaCount.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
