Henry Odell Gresham, Jr., 88, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
Born in East Point, he was a son of the late Henry Odell Gresham, Sr. and Pearl Mae Gresham.
Henry was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for more than 30 years as Vice President of Bell's Food Store.
He enjoyed golfing, traveling and attending Christian Conferences and he was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.
Henry was a faithful founding member of Heritage Fellowship in Bogart and also helped to establish Living Faith Church in Athens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Gresham; his brothers James Gresham and Reece Gresham Sr., and sisters Mary Nail and Louise Scoggins.
Survivors include his wife of more than 18 years, Madge Gresham; one son, Steven Gresham and wife, Luz Gresham; one stepson, Lloyd Winstead and wife, Susan; and five grandchildren, Patrick, Anthony, Isabella, Carlton and Maria.
Henry was loved by many and a good man who supported his family.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East Athens.
Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
