Henrietta Howard Cunningham, 87, of Lexington, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018.
Born in Cleveland Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Inez Howard. She was the wife to the late William Howard Cunningham for 55 years and sister to the late Bill and Bobby Howard.
Henrietta was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbors and three special children (Georgia Ann, Elin, and Jake Turner, who she loved and adored. Henrietta was a true and faithful servant to her Lord and lived the life that left no doubt of her Christian commitment, following her Methodist faith that had filled her life early on as a small girl. There was no secret that she continuously sought the Word and was sure in her heart that she would have a place in heaven.
Henrietta married Howard in Gainesville, Georgia, settling in Lexington Georgia. As a nurse for St. Mary’s Hospital, she had already begun her life taking care of other people' needs, and carried this gift to the next chapter of her life unselfishly giving to family and friends.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Cunningham Cupp (Chester), son Gregory Howard Cunningham (Elizabeth), grandchildren William Douglas Graham of Athens, Georgia, Matthew Howard Graham (Colleen) of Carmel, Indiana, Danielle Franklin of Elberton Georgia; great grandchildren Caroline Graham, Madelyn Graham, Justin Franklin and Dylan Franklin, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until 1:00PM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel. A private family service will be held.
Flowers are optional, or donations may be made to the Clark Cemetery Fund.
