Watkinsville - Helen Weaks Snyder, 83, died Sunday, September 1, 2007 at her residence.
A native of Orlando Florida, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Lee and Stella Hodges Weaks. Helen was a member of Antioch Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Col. George F. Snyder, US Air Force Ret.; children: Susan (Melvin) Brinkley of Watkinsville, Delores (David) Alei of Mexico, George F. Snyder, III of Oregon, David (Georgia) Snyder of Houston, TX; sisters: Thelma Heacker Brown of Oak Ridge, TN, Peggy Thomas of Oak Ridge, TN, ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 11AM at Antioch Christian Church with Rev. Jeff Wilkes officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
