Watkinsville, GA - Helen Armistead Roberts, 79, died Sunday, April 24, 2011.
She was the daughter of the late Linza and Myrtle Mathis Armistead and the widow of Philip Homer Roberts. She was retired from Bank of America and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with the Rev. Mike Sarratt and Dr. Steve Bingham officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park .
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mars Hill Spirit Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two sons, David P. Roberts of Snellville and Donny L. Roberts of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Brenda Carlton and Amy Norwood; three great-grandchildren, Eva Carlton, Chloe Carlton and James Pritchett Norwood. Mrs. Roberts is also survived by three sisters, Faye Morris of Maysville, Ellen Laird of Lilburn, and Georgia Cawthon of Madison.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Bus Ministry.
