Helen Vaughn Griffith

Helen Wadine Vaughn Griffith, 85, died Saturday, May 28, 2011. Born in Elbert County , she was the daughter of the late Jacob Truman and Sula Dunn Withcher. She retired from Comer Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul E. Griffith Sr. and her second husband Alvin Charles Vaughn. Survivors include her children and their spouses; Paul E. (Kathryn) Griffith , Jr. of Watkinsville, Thomas Jerry (Lucy H.) Griffith of Hartwell, Dwight (Karen) Vaughn of Winterville, Patricia (Earl Duggar of Apalachicola , FL , Hoyt (Gracie) Vaughn of Apalachicola, FL; brother: Troy Colquitt of Elberton; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Henry Bennett officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 6 to 9PM, Monday, May 30, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
