Eloise Dalton Edwards, 84, of Athens passed away on July 28 th , 2022. Born in White County, GA. Eloise was the daughter of the late Thomas Watson and Viola Smith Dalton. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings: Calvin (Pete) Dalton, Agnes Skelton, Rudolph Dalton, Durand (Dude) Dalton, Mildred Lyle, Thomas Dalton Jr., and Donald Dalton.

Eloise is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Wayne Edwards, and children Lisa Williams (Ben) of Bogart GA. Chuck Edwards (Millie) of Sautee Nacoochee, GA, and grandchildren Ben Williams III, Helen Williams, Anne Edwards, and Sarah Edwards.

Eloise received her degree and began her career in Augusta as a Registered Nurse. She later worked at Athens General Hospital and afterward dedicated herself as a loving mother and wife. She went on to work with Wayne in their family business, Wayne Edwards Pharmacy, where her nursing background benefited from helping customers and supporting Wayne. In later years, she found great joy in keeping up with her four grandchildren and their many pursuits.

The family would like to especially recognize and offer deepest appreciation to Eloise’s caregivers:  Dorothy Bonds, Joyce Ann Johnson, Deborah Mitchell, and Sheila Smith.

A private graveside service was held on August 1 st at Evergreen Memorial Park.
