Athens, GA - Helen Landrum Dawson, formerly of Winterville, died February 1, 2007.
A native of Oconee County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Otis Eakes and Gertie Ward Landrum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rucker Dawson and sister, Vivian Belote. Mrs. Dawson was a resident of Gainesville, GA for thirty years before moving back to Athens in 2006.
Memorial services will be Sunday, February 4, 2007, at 3:00 PM at Athens Memory Gardens, with Rev. Frank Granger officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until service time.
Survivors include seven children, Kathy and Charles Lee of Acworth, Rick and Jill Dawson of Athens, Andy and Donna Dawson of Winterville, Anita Dawson of Kennesaw, Lori and Paul White of Murrayville, Mark Dawson of Gainesville, and Luke Dawson of Cleveland; three sisters, Mytrice Kilpatrick of Bishop, Fay Escoe of Winterville, and Frances Campbell of Crawford; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
