Athens - Helen Winslow Bunting, age 87, of Athens, Georgia, formerly of Milford, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens.
Mrs. Bunting was born April 14, 1921, in Ocean City, Maryland, daughter of the late Edwin D. and Lula Mae (Cooper) Lynch.
She was employed for many years in retail sales before retiring. Mrs. Bunting loved spending time in her yard gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Bunting.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Argo of Athens; two sons, Harold Bunting Jr. of Milford, Del., and Gary Bunting of Harrington, Del.; four grandchildren, Kimberly Leissner, Shawn Parks, H. J. Bunting, III, and Karen Thompson; and six great-grandchildren, Hayley Leissner, Kegan Leissner, Shae Parks, Brandon Parks, Brook Bunting and Luke Bunting.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the Milford Community Cemetery on N. Walnut Street. Interment will follow the service.
