Hazel Q. Mattox

December 16, 1928 — February 2, 2015

Lexington, Georgia - Hazel Q. Mattox, 86 passed away February 2, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Henry Queen and Lula Sanders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie D. Mattox; son, Jimmy D. Mattox; brothers, Joel and Jack Queen and a sister, Nellie Lamar.
Mrs. Mattox and her husband, LD Mattox owned and operated Mattox BBQ in Sandy Cross.
Graveside services will be Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00pm at Bray Cemetery with Rev. Gibby Dean officiating. The family will visit at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann (Buddy) Hill; sons, Roy (Louella) Mattox, Robert (Mary Ann) Mattox; sisters, Betty Williamson and Euginia Walker; also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
