Watkinsville - Hazel Huff, 73, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Lionel Grady and Bertie Hall Davis. She was a seamstress and had worked at Colbert Manufacturing, Wilkins Industries and George Dean's. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church and long time former member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children: Debbie Huff Ondic of Watkinsville, Grady (Sandra) Huff of Hull, sisters: Virginia Sorrells of Danielsville, Lessie Bridges of Comer, Carole Hope of Murrayville, GA; brother: Joe Davis of Danielsville; grandchildren: David Ondic, Jr., Daniel Ondic, Jonathan Ondic, Amanda Rogers, Oneal Huff, Taylor Huff, Joshua Huff; great grandchildren: Alex Ondic, Gracie Ondic and Nathaniel Verhine and a brother-in-law that she raised as her son, Dennie Huff. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Horrace Milton Huff.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville with Rev. Reggie Vaughan and Allen Crosby officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel M. Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
