Comer - Hazel D. Birchmore, 84, died September 27, 2005.
A longtime resident of Comer, GA, she was a daughter of the late John Alvin and Lucille Meriwether Dickinson, and the widow of John Charles Birchmore. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise D. Cochran of Newnan, GA. Mrs. Birchmore was a homemaker and a member of Comer United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 30, 2005, at 3:00 PM at Comer United Methodist Church with Revs. Albert Askew and Alice Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Comer Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Bryant Cantrell and Elaine and Ted Hays, all of Hartwell, GA; granddaughters, Debbie Cantrell of Comer, Fran Cantrell of Statham, Allison (Jeffrey) Daniels of Ila; grandson, John V. Hays of Macon; great-granddaughters, Hayley and Karsyn Daniels; niece, Bonnie Burousas Legg of Comer; nephews, Chip Cochran of Peachtree City, GA and Donny Cochran of Carrollton, GA; several grandnieces and grandnephews; sister-in-law, Mary Birchmore Burousas of Comer.
Pallbearers will be Travis Legg, Corey Smith, Scott Hancock, John Hayes, Jeffrey Daniels and Kenneth Strickland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Brown and David Legg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Comer United Methodist Church.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
