Merritt Island, FL - Hazel Ann Williams, 73, died May 18, 2005.
A native of Clarke County, she was a daughter of the late Jessie S. and Lillian Gertrude Carson Hollis and was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Hollis. She was a resident of Florida since moving from Athens in 1963 and was a member of First Christian Church, Merritt Island, FL.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Bob Nash will officiate. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Henry W. Williams; daughter, Theresa Buckley of Winterville; Gary W. Williams of Weirsdale, FL; sister, Peggy Smith of Athens; six grandchildren, Amy Cone of Carlton, Eric Messer of Winterville, Marianne Strickland of Colbert, Emilee Wilkinson of Cocoa, FL, Gary W. Williams, II of Cocoa, FL and Jenifer Williams of Guntersville, AL; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, East Athens Baptist Church Building Fund or Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice Center.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
