Haston Edwin Salmon Jr

Lt. Col. H.E. Salmon, Jr. (Ret.), age 78, passed away December 11, 2012. He is preceded in death by his
parents, Haston Edwin, Sr. and Dessie Thompson Salmon; grandson, Jonathan Leach; and step-daughter,
Dawn Cole.
Lt. Col. Salmon retired from the United States Air Force after serving 28 years as a Communications
Systems Officer.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Salmon; daughters, Odess Leach (Tom), Elizabeth Lee (Paul), Melanie
Allen; son, Haston Edwin Salmon III (Cay); step-daughters, Donna Greenwood (Robert), Diane McCants
(Buddy); brothers, John Salmon (Judith), Phil Salmon (Trish); thirteen grandchildren; and several nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors
with the Rev. Tom Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive
friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
