Hassie Mae Freeman, 85, died March 9, 2007.
Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late R.C, Sr. and Leila Darnell Lester and widow of Floyd E. Freeman. Mrs. Freeman was a former resident of Madison County where she was a member of Moons Grove Baptist Church, Sunday School and Womens Bible Study. Mrs. Freeman was a member of the American Legion and Super Seniors. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She was a loving, warm and caring woman who had a servant's heart, always doing for others.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Moons Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Thomas Dial and Dan Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Moons Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy F. Dixon of Augusta; siblings, Eva Spencer of Monroe, Blanche Cartey and Mary L. Betts of Athens and R.C. Lester, Jr. of Crawford;
granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Dixon of Augusta.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the local Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
