Harry Whitney Moon

Harry Whitney Moon, age 86, of Watkinsville, passed away on February 20, 2014. He was born in Swords, Georgia, on August 9, 1927 to the late George and Loverett Merritt Moon. Harry was the youngest of nine, five brothers and three sisters who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Scholosnagle Moon of Watkinsville, and daughter Barbara Wilson and husband Wade of Atlanta, son Larry and wife Kaye of Athens, and son Jerry and partner Kathy Holen of Athens. Also, five grandchildren, Henry, Alex, and Emily Wilson of Atlanta, and Rachel and Ryan Moon of Athens.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 21 at Lord and Stephens, WEST, from 6 to 8 P.M.. The funeral will be on Saturday, February 22, at 11 A.M. at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 2 P.M. at Walker Methodist Church in Greensboro, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Watkinsville First United Methodist Church or to a charity of your choice.
