Harry O. Lee, 88, of Athens, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 21, 2014. He was born in Oconee County on February 15, 1926 to Walt and Julia Lee.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri, brothers, Junior, Starr and two sisters, Lil and Polly. He was a WWII veteran where he served as a tank commander and retired from Wellington Puritan Mills.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mae Lee, sons, Stan (Betty) Lee of Bogart, Gary (Sherri) Lee of Watkinsville, stepson, Bill Sailers of Elijay, GA, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 12:00 at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Russell Repetske officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
The family would also like to extend a special thanks to New Century Hospice Care.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
