WILLIAMS Jr., Harold Frank, 68, died October 1, 2016, at the Gentiva Hospice in Athens, GA, after a long and valiant fight against cancer. Harold was born June 7, 1948 in Lavonia, GA. After graduating Franklin County High School, Harold joined the Navy and was stationed in Guam, as a Communication Technician Third Class. He retired in 2013 after 31 dedicated years as the Assistant Fire Marshall with Athens-Clarke County Fire and Emergency Services. Harold enjoyed cooking, traveling and watching 1960 TV shows. He especially enjoyed being a father to his four children, and Papa to his 11 grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah May Alewine and Harold Frank Williams Sr.; and brother-in-law Calvin Andrews. Survivors include his loving wife, Amanda; sisters Tinnie Frances Andrews and Mary (Carroll) Foster; sons, Jake (Amanda) Williams; Doug (Linda) McEntyre; daughters Faith (Derrick) Stidham; Hope (Brad) McEntyre; grandsons, CJ Brock, Jacob Williams, Eli Stidham, and Corbin and Wyatt McEntyre; granddaughters, Christina Williams, Ashley Brock, Jessica Jones, Amber Williams, Sydney and Sophie McEntyre; two nieces and one nephew. A Memorial service will be held at 2021 and 2023 Cantrell Lane Bogart, GA, on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Georgia Cancer Center.
