Harold Edwin Guthrie

Harold Edwin Guthrie, 55, of Athens passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022. Born on September 14, 1966, he was the son of the late Robert J. Guthrie and Judy Field Guthrie.

Harold graduated from Athens Christian School in 1984 where he was on the football team. He worked for the Jackson County Jail and later went to work for the Clarke County Print Shop in Athens, GA, for over 10 years.

During his lifetime, Harold was an avid collector and seller of many unique and antique items. He was always interested in learning about how something works, and if it was broken, it was fixed by the time he was done with it. Harold had a true gift for storytelling and could always make someone feel welcome and included.

Survivors include his brothers: Stephen Strahan, Donald Whiteman, Carl Whiteman, Richard Whiteman, and John Guthrie.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Bostwick Memorial Cemetery at 2pm.
