Harold Kenneth "Mutt" Faulkner

Mutt Faulkner, 64, loving husband of 41 years to Gilda Booth Faulkner, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013. A native of Colbert, he was the son of the late Roy A. and Allie Mae Melton Faulkner. He served his county in the US Army and retired from the US Post Office after 33 years. Mutt truly loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa or Poppy. Survivors in addition to his wife include his three children: Nile (Kandace) Faulkner of Hull, Josh (Sheyna) Faulkner of Athens and Carrie (Troy) Yancey of Hull; siblings: Kerry Faulkner, Marie Seagraves, Ronnie Faulkner, Gerry Faulkner; six grandchildren: Dillon, Allie and Kaitlann Faulkner and Riley, Reagan and Ryder Yancey; and mother in law: Mary Alice Booth of Comer as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Terry James officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Alewine, Bo Alewine, Clarke Looney, Jason Booth, Clint Booth and Wesley Booth. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Friday, June 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
