Hannah Patricia Moran

Hannah Patricia McCarthy Moran, 90, died Sunday, November 27, 2011. Born in Killarney, Ireland on November 13, 1921, Hannah was one of 8 children of Timothy McCarthy and Margaret Courtney. She married Patrick J. Moran in 1950 in Boston, MA, and they raised three children in Somerville, MA and Huntington, NY. Patrick preceded her in death in 1988. In 2003, Hannah moved to Athens, Georgia, where she was residing at the time of her death. She is survived by her three children, Carol Moran Frohlinger (Stuart) of New York, NY, Mary Ann Moran (Ken Ross) of Athens, GA, and Daniel J. Moran (Jennifer Dalton) of Rutherford, NJ. She will be deeply missed by her six grandchildren, Kathryn Frohlinger, John Frohlinger, Abigail Ross, Meredith Ross, Max Moran, and Ava Moran, as well as by her surviving sisters and brother, Mary Murphy of Kent, England, Patrick McCarthy of Killarney, Ireland, Tessie Sheahan of Killarney, Ireland, and Bernadette Good of Sydney, Australia, and by her many nieces and nephews. A memorial service and mass will be held in Huntington, NY, on January 5, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
