H. Donald Thomas

H. Donald Thomas, 86, died August 4, 2021.

Mr. Thomas was born February 22, 1935 in Fulton County, GA to Henry and Clyde Thomas. A lifelong resident of High Shoals, he graduated from Morgan County High School in 1951. Mr. Thomas was a row crop farmer and raised chickens and cattle as well. He was a devoted member and Elder of High Shoals Christian Church, where he and his wife were married in 1952. Mr. Thomas was a devout Christian and beloved neighbor to many around the High Shoals community.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary Neal Thomas and a son, Wade Thomas.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at High Shoals Christian Church with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Survivors include three children, Beth (Bill) Sosebee, Robin Pannell and Jeff (Starr) Thomas, all of High Shoals; grandchildren, Justin (Amy) Pannell, Jason (Leigh) Pannell, Jake (Pamela) Sosebee, Jeffery (Courtney)Thomas, Jackson Thomas and Mary Ryann (BJ) Ivie; great grandchildren, Ben Ivie, Mary Lauren Ivie, Jacob Pannell, Aurora Pannell, J. T. Thomas and Ava Pannell.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandson, Ben Ivie.
