H. Carlene Finger

Helen Carlene Finger, 91, died June 18, 2015.
A native of Jackson County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Alonzo Anderson and Montine Sanders Anderson Stephenson and the stepdaughter of the late Tom Stephenson. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Finger Jr. and a son, George W. Finger, III.
Mrs. Finger was a longtime devoted member of West End Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was a student of His Word. She was a fan of The Gaithers and especially enjoyed listening to Dr. Charles Stanley. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden.
A special thank you goes out for all of your love and care to Shannette Gresham Jackson caregiver, friend, family-member. Also, to Bonnie Reynolds a very dear neighbor.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST with Revs. Lee Hunter and Ray L. Finger officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:30pm until service time.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita A. Salisbury of Bluefield, WV; son and daughter-in-law, Ray L. and Carol Finger of Winterville; daughter-in-law, Dianne Finger of Watkinsville; sister, Mary Shadden of Bogart; two brothers, Paul Stephenson of Athens and Harold Stephenson of Winterville; grandchildren, Jeff E. and Holly Finger, Lindsie K. and Christopher Iodice, Tyler R. Finger; great grandchildren, Sloan Finger, Thea Finger, Lucie Iodice and Mollie Iodice.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House or Gideon's International.
