H. G. Chambers

Oglethorpe County - H. G. Chambers, 70, husband of the late Mary Chambers, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at his home in Oglethorpe County.
Born in Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Harold Swift Chambers and Ethel Louise Chambers. H. G. was the owner of Chambers Trucking and also the owner of a grading company. He was a member of Winterville Baptist Church.
One daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Randy Johnson of Winterville, three granddaughters, Andrea and Jason Barnett, Wendy Johnson, Sara Johnson; brother, David Chambers of Winterville and special friend, Diane Hilley survive Mr. Chambers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20, 2005 at Lord & Stephens, EAST at 2 PM. Interment will be held in Winterville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lonzie Palmer, Jr., Alan Chambers, Tom Akins, Smith Wilson, Dwight Vaughn, Jim Mercer and one honorary pallbearer, Bud Lowe.
Visitation will be held tonight from 7-9 at the funeral home
