Gwendolyn Harrison

Carlton, GA - Gwendolyn Delphine Johnson Harrison, age 85, died Monday, January 7, 2013. A life long resident of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Harrison was the daughter of the late J.R. and Eula Smith Johnson. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. " Spud" Harrison and her sister Julia Johnson (Pat) Paul. Mrs. Harrison was a loving daughter, devoted wife and mother, and will be deeply missed. She was a member of the Glade UMC and was very active in the Glade community.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Glade UMC with Rev. David Burt officiating. Burial will follow at the Carlton Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Robert R. (Karen) Harrison; grandchildren, Mary Beth (Matthew) Heaton and David Harrison; great grandchild, Georgia Claire Heaton and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Glade UMC building fund.
