Granny Annie Geraldine Wellborn

Geraldine Granny Annie Wellborn, 81, of Statham, Ga. died Friday April 23, 2010.
A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Wellborn was a daughter of the late Tallie and Ruby Varnum Savage. She retired as a floral arranger, working for Flowers Inc for a number of years. She was an avid artist primarily dealing with Primitive Art Paintings. She is in the Artist Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown New York. Currently her art is being exhibited at Georgia Southern University where she is the "Poster Child".
Mrs. Wellborn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmie Wellborn, her daughter and son-in-law Mary Alice and Artice "Leadfoot" Ridgeway, and a number of siblings.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday April 25, 2010 at 2 PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Bud McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday April 24 from 6-8 pm.
Survivors include her Daughter and son in Law- Sandra and Richard Hanson, Hull,Ga. Sister, Hazel Forrester, Gainesville, Ga. Claudette Lathem Clermont, Ga. Sarah Garrett, Winder, Ga Brothers Lewis Savage, Lake Oconee, Ga. Marvin Savage, Watkinsville, Ga. Bob Savage, Jefferson, Ga. RL Savage, Loganville,Ga. 6 Grandchildren and 13 great Grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
