Bogart - Grady Artsee Sims, 79, passed away Monday, July 11, 2005.
A native of Clarke County, he was the son of the late L. C. and Eunice Belle Whitehead Sims and was preceded in death by a brother, W. C. Sims. He worked at Westinghouse Corp. for 28 years, a U. S. Navy Veteran and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home WEST with the Rev. Elmer Butler officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Damron Sims; son, Bobby Sims of Bogart; two daughters, Debra McGinness of Bogart and Melissa Clark of Center; four sisters, Blanche Warren, Vera Lee Warren, both of Bogart, Lorene Davis of Statham, Martha Faye Gunthorpe of Athens,; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Sammy Alewine, Jason Brown, Jerry Clark, Terry Ferguson, Dale Rowan and Anthony Burbage.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Home WEST is in charge of arrangements.
