Winterville - Grady Morgan Esco, 84, husband of Faye Landrum Esco, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Raymond Duncan officiating. Pallbearers will be James H. Francis, Ronald Brooks, Andy Dawson, Tim Graham, Howard Esco Jr., and William Peterman. Burial will follow at Pentecost Chapel.
Born in Colbert, GA he was the son of the late Hal H. and Leight Couch Esco. Grady was inducted October, 1944 in to the US Army during WWII. He served in France and Germany as a member of the 63rd Division, 254 Reg. K co. 3 BN. After being discharge he began purchasing timber for resale, bought and sold real estate as well as building Providence Village. He had attended Grove Chapel Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include; sister: Hazel Graham of Flowery Branch; brothers: Howard Esco and Aubrey Esco both of Winterville as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
Flowers will be accepted.
