Grace (Meadows) Hook

Grace Meadows Hook, 68, wife of 34 years to Michael F. Hook, died on Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Born in Atlanta, GA she was the daughter of the late Carl Benjamin Meadows and Mary Jean Trammell Meadows and sister to the late Carl Benjamin Meadows, Jr.  Grace had worked as a HR Manager for various banks and retired from Blasingame Burch Garrard and Ashley as a legal secretary after 9 years. She was an active member of St. James Church, Athens, GA where she loved serving her Lord.

In addition to her husband Michael, Grace is survived by her sons and daughters in law: David Michael (Lucy) Hook and Steven Trammell (Sara) Hook; brother and sister-in-law: Hunter Trammell (Elizabeth Bond) Meadows; half-brother: Mark (Kim) Meadows and two grandchildren that she loved and adored, Nora Grace and Riley Hook.  She loved her children and grandchildren with her whole heart.

Grace was an avid sports fan, especially baseball and enjoyed watching and attending Braves games.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2:30PM at St. James Church, Athens, GA with Pastor Bill Curington officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 prior to the service at the church. Private entombment will be held following the service.
